Auditorium Cum
Art Gallery, Jalpaiguri was completed in November 1999. This has
provided state-of-the-art facilities for of cultural programmes to
the people of this area. This project has also opened up avenues for
nurturing local talent, and spreading the rich heritage of the
region. The auditorium has the facilities of 900 seats, Art Gallery,
Exhibit Hall, Library and Reading Room. The Auditorium is provided
with modern facilities of acoustics, electrification and
illumination, fire fighting, stagecraft, interior decoration,
air-conditioning and landscaped garden.
Street Lighting at Tenzing Norgey Road and Station Feeder Road,
Siliguri
Tenzing Norgay
road is the major North-South corridor and the entrance to Siliguri.
To facilitate pedestrians & traffic at night and for smooth and
accident free traffic flow in the stretch from Darjeeling More to
Mahananda Bridge, street lighting was provided by SJDA. SJDA also
provided street lighting on Station Feeder Road, one of the major
East-West roads to improve the traffic condition at night.
SJDA took up
construction works of Two Milk Booths for HIMUL and Renovation work
in Conference Room, HIMUL as well as roof treatment and
electrification work in KANCHAN as requested by the organization.
SJDA successfully completed the jobs as per schedule.
