Himanchal Vihar, Phase-I & Phase-II

This land development project of SJDA in Siliguri will fulfill the growing demand of developed land for housing purpose. In the project of phase I it has total area of 35 acres and provide all civil amenities like water supply, street lighting, drainage with wide roads, open spaces, convenient shopping centres and a primary school.

The Phase-II of Himanchal Vihar comprises of bulk area plots, (45 kathas and above) to government department business houses & others for residential purpose. Phase–II has a total area of 25 acres. Phase II has the same facility of all civil amenities as in phase I.
 

Dormitory Cum Market Complex, Jalpaiguri

This project has been done to provide night shelter to the relatives of patients at Sadar Hospital in the ground floor roadside hawkers has been rehabilitated. The first floor has dormitory with 28 beds in 8 rooms

Mini Bus Stand At Kadamtala, Jalpaiguri

In this project seven nos mini bus and five nos of taxi can be accommodated at a time to provide systematic vehicular to Siliguri and Jalpaiguri Town. There are toilet facility, waiting space & ticket counter for passengers with adequate lightening facility at night.
 

Open Air Theatre at Ghughumali & Pradhannagar

Two Open Air Theatres has been constructed at Ghughumali & Pradhannagar to facilitate for multipurpose cultural activities of the local communities
 

Beautification of Bank of River Karala, Jalpaiguri

The riverbank of Karala at the stretch from Arya Natya Samaj to the Students Health Home has been developed as a small promenade. It has got the facility of 3m wide elevated walkway with lighting and sitting facilities.
 

Nature Interpretation Centre, Matigara

The SJDA has coordinated as a modal agency for constructing a Nature Interpretation Centre for presenting the diverse ecosystems of North Bengal. The center is situated within the premises of the North Bengal Science Centre. Visitors can learn about the natural flora, fauna, dialect, language, customs etc. of North Bengal.
