In this project 2.6
km. stretch has been constructed for widening of the existing road
to 5.5m wide with 1.5 m shoulder of each side. After construction of
this road an alternate route from eastern bypass to Jalpaiguri has
been provided. Besides, rural hats like Ambari hat and Sahudangi hat
with various rural settlements in Binnaguri and Shimulguri mouzas
has been connected with this road.
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar & Shahid Kshudiram Basu Bipanan Kendra
In this project there
are office floors in each block. The first block, named after Dr B.R.
Ambedkar has got total office floor area of 1713.4 sqm and the
second block, named after Sahid Khudiram has got total office floor
area of 844 sqm. There are provisions of separate access for Office
floors and parking place at the ground floor.
District Centre for Rehabilitation of the Persons with Disabilities
is being established at Jalpaiguri. Establishment of DCRPD is one
major initiative of the Govt. of India to commence rehabilitation
service at the district level, through out the country. The ideology
behind this is on convergence with the activities of the Departments
optimal utilization of resources jointly towards better
rehabilitation
Bhaktinagar Connector
This road is the main approach to the Eastern Bye Pass. By
constructing this road the movement of heavy vehicles through the
Don Bosco connector in which many schools etc. exist have been
reduced.
The length of the road is 2.4 KM with 5.5 M as black top and 2.05 M
earthen flanks on each side
